Damla took part in various activities of the Economics Club in her university, and continued the internship in her junior year as a volunteer later. With several trainings on finance and accounting under her belt, Damla aims to gain work experience during her time in the program. Damla holds a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Insurance from Trakya University.
Erva was involved in the “Yeşilay, My Club” project, and also took the financial literacy trainer’s training organized by the Habitat Association. She interned voluntarily at Sonoco Alcore and Galatasaray Sports club, and wants to make the most of her First Chance. Erva holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Gaziantep University.
Berfin interned at Halkbank, attended the Turkish Central Bank’s Introduction to Banking Program, and was also involved in the Community Outreach Group in her university. Berfin aims to bring her attention to detail and diligent work discipline to the organization she works for, and become a well-rounded individual by making the most of this program. Berfin holds a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Uşak University.
Defne took part in various village school project during her university years, and also internet at a chartered accountant’s office. Defne believes that she will add value to the organization she works for with her work discipline, effective time management and practical skills. Defne, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bursa Uludağ University, currently studies toward a master’s degree in Fiscal Law at Namık Kemal University.
Alper not only volunteered for the social responsibility team of the Orators Group, he also took part in the village schools restoration project. Alper aims to improve his accounting, finance and audit skills further, and pursue a career in these fields. Alper holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Selçuk University.
Hilal was actively involved in the Finance Group in her university and also volunteered for NGOs such as TEMA Foundation. Hilal attended seminars and took training programs organized by the Tax Inspection Board in Ankara, and the Ministry of Customs and Trade. She believes that she is a good team player with her highly energetic and adaptive personality. Hilal holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bursa Uludağ University.
Miray played an active role in the Accessibility Group in her university as a social responsibility, and also hosted a radio show on Radyo Dumlupınar. She interned at Mavitec Machinery in Gemlik, and Yeni Ekin Customs Brokerage in Istanbul. With a KOSGEB certification under her belt, Miray want to make the most of her First Chance. Miray holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Kütahya Dumlupınar University.
In her university years, Merve was actively involved in the Social Solidarity and Economic Studies Group and took part in organizing charity events for children with leukemia. Merve aims to put her theoretical knowledge into practice, and add value to the organization she forks for with her attention to detail and commitment. Merve, who graduated at the top of her class with a bachelor’s degree in Econometry from Çanakkale 18 Mart University, currently studies for her master’s degree in Economic Policy at Kocaeli University.
Buse was a member of the Political Science and Public Administration Group in the university, and also volunteered for several activities and projects of TEGV. Buse believes that working with enthusiasm, diligence and attention will bring success, and aims to put the theory that she learned into practice and improve herself further along the way. Buse holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Sakarya University with a double major in Finance.
Doğukan was actively involved in the Finance Group in his university as well as TOG. He interned at a chartered accountant’s office and Yapı Kredi Bank. He also volunteered for TOG’s social responsibility activities such as “Painting Village Schools” and “I Am In”. Doğukan’s aim with the First Chance program is to improve himself in Law, Accounting and Finance, and gain experience in these fields. Doğukan holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bursa Uludağ University.
Azize was actively involved and volunteered for several community outreach programs during her university years. She attended the trainer’s training on “Financial Literacy for Individuals” organized in partnership with UNDP, Habitat Association and Visa Turkey. Azize believes that she will be able to put all the theory she learned during her university education, training programs, conferences and communities, into practice with the First Chance program. Azize holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yalova University.
In addition to volunteering for LÖSEV and HABİTAT, Gizem also interned at the Social Security Institution, a chartered accountant’s office and a hospital. Gizem aims to improve herself in accounting and finance, start her chartered accountant traineeship, and pursue a master’s degree in accounting. Gizem holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University.
