In addition to interning at Karabük Family, Labor and Social Services Provincial Directorate and Karabük University Rector’s Office, she also volunteered for activities aimed at nursing homes and orphanages. She was involved in the editorial work of Karınca, a magazine on women’s rights published by the Turkish Cooperatives Directorate. She aims to contribute to the efforts to ensure that everyone lives in a fair and intellectual environment, and plans to put her theoretical and applied knowledge into practice. Ayça holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Services from Karabük University.
Tuğba served as the Democratic Working Group Director of the Civil Life Association, and also interned at Ayvalık Setur Marina. She aims to gain experience through the First Chance Program and improve herself. Tuğba holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Osmangazi University.
Fatma headed the KTU European Union Club for two years, and completed her internship at the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s European Union Information Center. In 2018, she received her certification upon completion of KAGİDER’s “Woman Leader of the Future” training program. She also serves as a trainer of Financial Literacy for Entrepreneurs at the Habitat Association, and aims to become an entrepreneur in the future. Fatma holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Karadeniz Technical University.
Beyzanur took part in the Humanisation Project of Erasmus+. She served as an educator in the Türk Kızılayı Bursa Community Center’s Family Education Program. She believes that First Chance will enable her to gain work experience, and that the trainings she will take will help her build a solid foundation to launch her career. Beyzanur holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Uludağ University.
Özlem interned at the Refugees Association’s Data Monitoring Department, and the Human Resources Department of Baykar Defense. She volunteered for the ECO-LIFE project of AIESEC Russia. Özlem’s primary goal is to leverage her experience and learnings from volunteering work to find solutions to the problems of disadvantaged people, and to specialize in this field. Özlem holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Kocaeli University.
Ebru interned at the Disaster Coordination Center in Istanbul, Gümüşhane Care and Rehabilitation Center, and Gümüşhane Youth Center. She took part in organizing events and trained students as part of various university clubs’ activities on emergency patient care, search and rescue, and incident scene management. She aims to improve herself in civil society work. Ebru graduated at the top of her class with a degree in Emergency Response and Disaster Management from Gümüşhane University with a double major in Social Services, and currently studies for a master’s degree in Disaster Training and Management at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.
Enes was actively involved in multiple university clubs, and took part in UNICEF’s “Child-Friendly City” project. In addition to serving as the General Secretary of the International Affairs Club in Kocaeli University, he also volunteered for the Kocaeli Branch Office of the Turkish Association for International Affairs Studies as Social Media and Promotion Officer. He aims to combine these volunteering experiences with the First Chance program to demonstrate his skills in the business world. Enes holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Kocaeli University.
Onur volunteered for NGOs such as TOG, Turmepa and Habitat Association as a trainer and coordinator during his university years. He aims to combine his computer technologies education with civil society work, and reach his goals through the First Chance program. Onur holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Teaching Technologies Instruction from Ondokuz Mayıs University, and currently studies for a master’s degree in the same department.
Simge volunteered for the UN Women’s Health Center, and TEGV during her university years. She interned at the Turkish International Affairs Studies Academy (TUİÇ). She also spent some time in the USA through the Work and Travel Program. She believes that the First Chance Program will mark a turning point in her career. Simge holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Osmangazi University.
Ayşe played an active role at the Project Workshop Ecology Directorate in her university, and mentored foreign students in ESN Uludağ. With internships at the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Ahmet Erdem Anatolian High School in her résumé, she aims to meet people experienced in her field during the program. Ayşe holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Uludağ University.
Beyza was involved in the Social Workers Group in her university, and also interned at Nazilli Social Services Center, Aydın Family, Labor and Social Services Provincial Directorate, and Nazilli Haluk Alıcık Nursing Home. She believes that she will add maximum value to the organization she works for with her theoretical and practical knowledge, and says that she is always open to learning with her inquisitive personality. Beyza holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Services from Aydın Adnan Menderes University.
